1. Information We Collect

  • Account information — name, email, company
  • Property and utility data you enter or import
  • Utility billing data collected via Green Button Connect My Data (with your authorization)
  • Usage data (page views, feature usage)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the UtiliteeWare platform
  • To automatically collect utility data from authorized utility providers via Green Button Connect My Data
  • To generate energy performance reports and analytics
  • To send platform notifications and alerts (e.g. Peak Tracker alerts)
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Green Button Data

  • We collect electricity, natural gas, and water usage and billing data from authorized utility providers on your behalf via the Green Button Connect My Data standard. Supported providers may include Toronto Hydro, Enbridge Gas, and others.
  • You authorize this connection and may revoke it at any time.
  • Data is used solely for energy management purposes within UtiliteeWare.
  • We comply with each utility provider's Third-Party Terms and Conditions for Green Button Connect My Data.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored in Canada (Supabase, Canada Central region).
  • We use industry-standard encryption and access controls.
  • Access is restricted to authorized users within your company.

5. Data Retention

  • We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
  • You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Revoke Green Button data sharing authorization at any time.
